About
Join us to see the light stations of the mid-coast Maine including Monhegan Light! Jeremy D’Entremont, author and lighthouse historian for the U.S. Lighthouse Society and Bob Trapani Jr., author and Director of the American Lighthouse will talk about the rich history of each lighthouse as well as their experiences visiting and working to maintain the light stations. Zack Klyver, with over 30 years of experience guiding Bar Harbor Whale Watch Company boat cruises, will be the host and will identify and describe the wildlife and natural and human history of the coast and Gulf of Maine. Mike Leonard, from Photo Tourism by Mike will be our Tour photographer and be there to share lenses and make sure you take your “best shot”.
During the cruise there will be many opportunities to take incredible photographs of lighthouses, coastal scenery, wildlife, Vinalhaven Harbor, and the islands of the Maine coast.
Featured lighthouses * – Lights Covered in proposed Order: Egg Rock, Mark Island (Winter Harbor), Baker Island, Great Duck Island, Burnt Coat Light (Swans Island), Robinson Point (Isle Au Haut), Saddleback Ledge, Monhegan Island, Marshal point, Two Bush, Tenants Harbor, Whitehead Island, Owls head, Browns Head Light, Goose Rocks Light (North Haven), Deer Island Thoroughfare (Mark Island Light), Blue Hill Bay, Bass Harbor Head, Bear Island,
