“Perfect pick!” – 5 of 5 stars
OK when in Bar Harbor you are confronted by a myriad of boat cruise options. I knew I had to see the area by land & sea and chose the Bar Harbor (www.barharborwhalewatch.com) Lighthouse Tour for the sea. Blown away by three hour information packed narrative of sea coast, cliffs, islands, lighthouses, cottages, Acadia Mountain vistas. Lingering at sightings of seals & eagles…I have always loved this coast but even more now! Don’t miss this value packed journey…a gorgeous Fall albeit chilly adventure. Jet powered catamaran vessel has comfy indoor seating but seriously the outdoor deck views offered so much more!!! Dress for the occasion & fall in love with this coast!

“Lighthouse Tour” – 5 of 5 stars
My husband and I took the lighthouse tour on a beautiful, sunny Saturday morning. The boat was full, but not overly crowded. Jackets were a must and sunglasses were helpful. The narrator was exceptional- a former college English professor. The trip along the coast was most informative and enjoyable. We saw four lights up close (from the boat) and one just barely from a distance. The water was quite choppy due to the previous day’s storm and almost didn’t go. The lights were Bear Island, Bass Harbor, Baker Island (from a distance), Winter Harbor, and Egg Rock. Lots of sea birds visible on Egg Rock along with two eagles. If you like lighthouses and the coast of Maine, I highly recommend this trip.

“Great weather, great boat tour, great tour guide” – 5 of 5 stars
We took the naturalist tour on October 7, 2014. With two adults, one being a senior, we got an almost two hour tour for $53 total. Rain was forecast but we got a beautiful sunny day with light winds. We were so impressed with the tour guide, he had such a knowledge of the history of Bar Harbor and Acadia Nat’l Park and their currect residents, be it people or wildlife. We sat right next to the guide for part of the trip, and road the deck on the bow for the rest. In either location we could hear the guide clearly, something I don’t find the usual on most tours. With the guide’s directions we saw ducks, porpoises, falcons, bald eagles, seals, and thousands of buoys marking lobster traps. The boat was modern and comfortable. Kudos goes to the boat’s captain for changing directions so each side of the boat could see the point of interest. Our only regret is we did not get to take part in more tours offered by this company.

“If you love lighthouses, don’t miss this tour!” – 5 of 5 stars
Nicely done lighthouse tour with constant commentary, pointing out everything along the way to the various lighthouses that they visit, getting very close to some of them! The boat is very large, without feeling confined! Sitting up front in the elements in the Fall is cold, but exhilating at the same time, much better to see out in the open, then behind the tinged glass inside! Just make sure to bundle up with layers! Other than that the day we went sun was out, and the views were breathtaking. A definite must if you love lighthouses as much as I do! A close walk from the tender area if coming off a cruise ship, and a little cheaper!
