Lobster Fishing and Seal Watching
Trip time: 1 3/4 hours
 Join us aboard the Miss Samantha, Bar Harbor, Maine's newest and biggest lobster passenger boat. During the first part of the trip, you'll watch us haul lobster traps from the ocean floor as the captain explains how the trap works. In addition to lobster and crab, you'll see and be able to touch sea urchins, starfish, and sea cucumbers. The kids will love it and so will you.
 About half way through our cruise, we'll stow all the lobster gear and then head off to a small island to look at harbor seals basking on the rocks or swimming in the nearby water. Because of the Miss Samantha's size, we sometimes get so close that you can count their whiskers. Our sighting average is over 95 percent, so don't forget to bring your camera! And all the while, we'll be cruising in Frenchman Bay, where beautiful cottages line the shore and granite mountains rise majestically from the sea.
